California Charter Authorizers Boot Camp is an intensive training designed to prepare district and county office personnel to conduct effective charter petition review and charter school oversight.
- Participants must be district and county office employees who have responsibility for review of charter petitions, oversight of operating charter schools, and/or charter renewal.
- Boot camp will be offered at San Ramon Valley Conference Center (further details below). Cohorts will be limited to approximately 20 participants.
- Cost per participant includes all meals, lodging and materials. Limited scholarships to cover travel costs are available. See link below
Selection of participants will be at the discretion of ACOE’s CARSNet Program Office. CARSNet will make every effort to offer enough seats for all applicants. If we cannot, priority will be given to employees of authorizing agencies that have 6 or fewer operating charters and to individuals with limited experience or newly assigned to this responsibility. Other considerations in selection and placement will include distribution of participants from throughout California, diversity of charter experience and professional backgrounds, and maximizing the number authorizing agencies represented.
Participants can expect to receive a response to application submission within 2-3 days.
